Bikram Posture #2 Part 2 – Hands to Feet

The Bikram Yoga posture Hands to Feet is the initial warm up where you bend your knees & place hands on the floor in front of you, wiggling your hips from side to side serves as a diagnostic tool telling you how tight you are and where.
This technique is also therapeutic as it will help loosen up ankles, knees and hips enabling you to go deeper in the stretch of the posture.
It's important to always do Hands to Feet the right way - the technique should never be compromised - holding the elbows correctly behind legs is VERY important to correctly practice this posture.
It is a long term posture and it can take month after month to do a perfect posture - so keep focusing on this one and it will get there over time.

The BENEFITS of HANDS TO FEET are:
- increases the flexibility of the spine & the sciatic nerver plus most of the tendons and ligaments of the legs.
- strengthens the biceps of thighs and calves
- greatly improves blood circulation in the legs and to the brain
- strengthens the rectus abdominal, gluteus maximum, oblique, deltoid & trapezius muscles
